Probably the oldest cocktail in existence, the Mint Julep is composed mainly of water, sugar, crushed ice, fresh mint, and, most importantly, bourbon. The Mint Julep is traditionally associated with America's Deep South, and until today remains the cocktail of choice at Louisville's famous Kentucky Derby.
